Xueer’s AR Portfolio

In this APP, I will display my web portfolio, hobbies, and past project experience(resume) in the form of AR. I hope to attract more people to know me in a fun and easy way. (Maybe we could use this way to replace web portfolio in the future~)

Original Idea:

I have some stickers on my laptop, I have been waiting for someone to ask me, xueer, these stickers look pretty, do they have any meaning? This way I can say: Of course, there are a lot of stories hidden behind these stickers. But no one does that…..

So I want to create an AR app that could use an argument reality to help me attract audiences and explain my story.

Potential problems

  1. The reflective surface of the computer may affect the recognition of the image target

  2. The contrast of the stickers is not strong enough

  3. Multiple virtual buttons can be difficult to identify

Reframed Idea:

How about using a poster to display my web portfolio, hobbies, and resume via AR?

Final Design

Users can interact with the posters in order, click the buttons that appear on the screen to experience games and browse the web.

Implementation issues

  1. Don’t put virtual buttons too close to each other.

  2. Avoid adding too many elements to one panel, especially textmashPro buttons and 3D texts, Unity is easy to crash…..

Development

I originally wanted to transfer the app to the mobile phone, but because of some problems in the process, vuforia cannot recognize the image target on the ios, so I can only use the computer instead. I hope this problem can be solved in the future.
